Buoy Removal
It is unfortunately that time of year already, time to remove the buoys. RLIA puts the buoys out every spring and takes them out every fall. Many of you already know that buoys were removed from East Rush Lake on Thursday, September 19th, 2019 by Larry Steves, Stan Seidel, and Kurt Koroschetz. Thanks guys! Rush Creek Kayak Trip
Over Labor Day weekend, Board Members Larry Steeves and Bill Picha planned a kayak trip down Rush Creek with Cristian Foss and Tim Donelon to see if anything was blocking the creek. The hypothesis was something maybe blocking the creek and preventing West & East Rush Lake from draining efficiently potentially causing higher water in West & East Rush Lake. The group put in on Rush Creek near Bulrush Golf Course off of Brookside Parkway

MN DNR Netting on East Rush Lake
We received a ‘heads up’ that MN DNR has a crew out setting nets on East Rush today, 26AUG2019, for its population assessment. They will have a variety of nets out there through Thursday, 29AUG2019. The local Conservation Officer is also aware of this activity.
