The ‘slow no wake zone’ is 300 feet from shore and means that the operation of a watercraft at the slowest possible speed necessary to maintain steerage, and no greater than 5 mph. The no wake zone is to help minimize damage to shorelines and islands due to high water levels.  See the boat launch for the official notice.

The Hinckley Area Fisheries office is proud to release its first newsletter. This will be a good way to keep informed of the work being done to manage lakes in Pine, Kanabec, Isanti, and Chisago counties. The newsletter is available on the DNR website: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/areas/fisheries/hinckley/index.html. Turtle Races were held on June 15th, 2019 after the annual meeting.  It was another success with 13 kids from ages 10 months to 14 years old.  One of the fastest turtles was Rocketman!  Over half of the kids caught their own turtles!
