We received a ‘heads up’ that MN DNR has a crew out setting nets on East Rush today, 26AUG2019, for its population assessment.  They will have a variety of nets out there through Thursday, 29AUG2019.  The local Conservation Officer is also aware of this activity. Nessel Township Clean Up Day is Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at the Township Hall from 8AM – 12PM.  Township Hall Address: 49205 Acacia Trail Stanchfield, MN 55080 (320) 396-2702

The ‘slow no wake zone’ is 300 feet from shore and means that the operation of a watercraft at the slowest possible speed necessary to maintain steerage, and no greater than 5 mph. The no wake zone is to help minimize damage to shorelines and islands due to high water levels.  See the boat launch for the official notice.
