RLIA is starting a meat raffle at the Grumpy Minnow this Sunday at 2:00 PM (2/26/2023).

The Grumpy Minnow is a large source of income for lake improvements thru pull tabs.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources invites people interested in wildlife and outdoor skills to check out the winter program schedule for the Minnesota Outdoor Skills and Stewardship webinar series every Wednesday:02/26/2025 Reading the landscapeEpisode: 201Have you ever walked through an area and wondered "What happened here?" All environments are products of disturbance and succession, competing forces that are always shaping a landscape to varying degrees. Environments are never static, they are always changing, and there are always reasons that can be found for what you are observing. Through this session, Bryan Wood, executive director of Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center, will teach the concepts of how to read a landscape, from making observations about the patterns and outliers you see, to thinking through the possible factors at play, including human and natural disturbance, and ecological succession. Feel like a detective as you start discovering clues that allow you to tell the story of an area. Joyce is interested in documenting and understanding recent changes of their distribution in the state.
